Rectifier

Electrolysis is the process of causing oxidation-reduction reactions at the cathode and anode by passing an electric current through an electrolyte solution or molten electrolyte. An electrochemical cell can undergo the electrolysis process when subjected to an external direct current voltage.
Electrolysis is a process that uses electrochemical reactions occurring at the interface between an electrode acting as an electron conductor and an electrolyte acting as an ion conductor to synthesize chemicals, produce high-purity substances, and treat the surface of materials. When electricity is applied, the cations in the electrolyte move towards the cathode, absorb electrons, undergo reduction reactions, and form new substances; the anions in the electrolyte move towards the anode, release electrons, undergo oxidation reactions, and form new substances.
The electrolytic cell is also called electrolyzer consists of a tank, an anode and a cathode. Most of the time, a diaphragm is used to separate the anode chamber from the cathode chamber.
The rectifier is an electronic component that converts alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). Its working principle is based on the unidirectional conductivity of the diode, that is, the current is only allowed to pass in one direction.
The rectifier is a rectifier device that simply converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). It has two main functions: first, convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC), feed the load after filtering, or supply the inverter; Second, provide charging voltage to the battery. Therefore, it also acts as a charger.
The rectifier is also called High frequency power supply, it is used in all walks of life for the hot processing of metal materials, heat treatment, hot assembly and welding, melting and other processes of equipment

The Function of our Electrolysis Rectificer:
1. AC/DC current feedback hot standby: If both the DC feedback signal and the AC feedback signal are sent to the control cabinet, the digital regulation trigger controller will correct the AC feedback signal and can select which feedback signal to use for steady current regulation. The other feedback signal serves as hot standby to ensure that as long as one feedback signal is normal, steady current operation can be maintained.
2. Current feedback loss protection function: When the equipment is operating stably under normal conditions, if both the DC current sensor and the AC transformer cause feedback signal loss due to faults, it will automatically switch to manual open-loop control, maintaining the control angle and current before the fault. The other feedback signal serves as hot standby to ensure that as long as one feedback signal is normal, steady current operation can be maintained.
3. Automatic up/down shifting function of on-load switch: Automatically adjust the gear position of the on-load voltage regulating switch of the rectifier transformer to ensure that the control angle operates within the range of 5° to 20°, ensuring that the rectifier device generates the minimum harmonic current and the average natural power factor is ≥ 0.92. (This function is only applicable to equipment with on-load switches for transformers)
4. Zero return protection function: When the high-voltage switch trips due to a fault, the given signal automatically returns to zero; when the high-voltage switch is re-energized, no impact current will be generated.
5. Linear soft start function of current: When the rectifier is powered on, if a large given signal is suddenly applied, the output current increases slowly to the set value.
6. External overvoltage protection function: External overvoltage mainly refers to operational overvoltage, lightning, and grid fluctuations. The protection measures are to set a large-capacity overvoltage absorption protection device on the AC side of the rectifier.
7. Internal overvoltage protection function: Internal overvoltage mainly refers to commutation overvoltage and overvoltage generated when the fast fuse melts. The protection measures are to connect a resistor-capacitor absorption device in parallel between the rectifier arm and the fast fuse arm.
8. Overcurrent protection function: When a valve-side short circuit occurs due to breakdown of the component, the fast fuse connected in the fault branch should immediately break and isolate the branch to prevent the fault from expanding. When the component breaks down, it will cause the fast fuse to melt, and when one arm is damaged (the specific number varies according to the contract), a warning signal will be issued; when there are multiple damaged arms on the same arm (the specific number varies according to the contract), an emergency trip signal will be issued. When the output current ≥ 105% Id, a warning signal will be issued; for DC overcurrent protection, when the output current ≥ 120% Id, the internal pulse is locked (reduce the current to zero) and a warning signal will be issued. (If the user has special requirements, it can be modified according to the user's requirements).
9. Cooling system failure protection function: When the cooling water pressure drops (inside the cabinet), an alarm signal is issued. After a certain delay, if the water pressure does not return to normal, an emergency trip signal will be issued. There is a water interruption delay protection. When the total outlet temperature of the cooling water is too high or the temperature on the bridge arm is too high, an alarm signal is issued.
10. Overvoltage absorption circuit failure protection function: When a strong external overvoltage occurs, the fuse in the absorption circuit will melt, and the microswitch on the fuse will transmit the signal to the PLC, which will be displayed on the touch screen and the upper computer; an alarm will be issued to prompt the user to replace it in time.
11. Control system self-diagnosis function: The system monitors communication, synchronization signals, CPU, pulse triggering, etc. components in real time. Once a fault is detected, it will immediately alarm and display the fault information on the touch screen.
12. Temperature monitoring function: Real-time temperature monitoring of each thyristor is carried out to enable timely understanding of the operation of each thyristor in the rectifier during operation.
13. No disturbance switching function: The dual-control system can manually or automatically perform a disturbance-free switching of the main control board (the switching time is zero).
14. Oscillation detection switching function: The PLC monitors the DC output current in real time. When a DC oscillation is detected, an instruction is sent by the PLC to forcibly switch to the standby control system by the working control system.
The Customized features of our Rectificer
1. The system can be configured with a single main cabinet or a dual main cabinet plus control cabinet structure according to user requirements.
2. When the DC output current is ≥ 100A, a full circuit synchronous inverse parallel connection rectification circuit is adopted, which significantly reduces eddy current loss and improves the efficiency of the equipment.
3. The control mode can be divided into open-loop (manual) and closed-loop (automatic) according to the production process requirements, and can be mutually converted. The phase number of the DC current output can be classified as 6, 12, 24, 36 and 48 phase pulse rectification according to the standard of grid harmonic current, eliminating the pollution of power rectifiers' 3rd, 5th and 7th harmonics to the grid.
4. The equipment is equipped with overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, under-voltage, under-phase, high water temperature, low water pressure, high/low oil temperature, and high/low oil pressure protection, and the control circuit is fully integrated.
5. The main control board adopts the KDW-06 type high interference resistance high-power digital circuit triggering system, which has strong anti-interference ability. It also has the characteristics of high control accuracy, good stability, and reliable operation.
6. The cabinet body adopts the cutting magnetic circuit, reducing eddy current loss, and the cabinet body is overall spray-painted.
7. The control mode is divided into integrated analog control and computer control.
